We’re working to grow Democracy Week and our related initiatives into a repeatable, scalable, high impact set of initiatives to uplift the cross-partisan pro-democracy movement in the US, and your support is critical to making that happen.
You can sponsor the Oct 8 Forum on its own, one city for the whole week, or all of it.
Whichever you pick, your support also helps support the Democracy Accelerator and the First Principles Democracy Index work that come out of it and will help provide lasting and scalable cross-partisan impact.

Sponsorships start at $1,000. Smaller amounts are just as welcome as a donation, and are also a big help for these efforts.
Supporting interconnected and complementary efforts
Your sponsorship will help us run Democracy Week in two cities (while building the repeatable framework to expand to other cities), the Oct 8 Forum, and two ongoing complementary initiatives.

There are two Keystone slots, and one is held for a civic or nonprofit organization at the civic rate. On a phone, scroll the table sideways to see every level.
A seat at the Forum on its own is $250, or $100 at the civic rate. You can also sponsor seats at $250 each for people who belong in the room and cannot cover the cost.

Sponsor Democracy Week in SF, LA, or both
The same four levels, wider reach. A week sponsorship covers everything happening in that city between the opening and the close, and the San Francisco week includes the Forum.

95% of sponsorships and ticket prices are tax deductible. Democracy Week is fiscally sponsored by CalDEC, the California Doughnut Economics Coalition, a 501(c)(3). We value benefits received at 5%.
What a sponsorship adds on top of partnering
Any interested group can be a community partner for free, and plenty of good organizations already are. Sponsors cover other costs related to Democracy Week and related initiatives.

What sponsorship does not buy
- We do not endorse candidates or parties. We do encourage everyone to vote, organize, and get involved, wherever they land.
- Nobody gets pitched. Non-solicitation applies to everyone, sponsors included, and the Chatham House Rule covers the breakouts.
- Money runs through a 501(c)(3). CalDEC is our fiscal sponsor. 95% of what you give is deductible.
Timeline
We’re moving quickly as we build this effort, and early support is helpful. We’re keeping prices low and accessible since time is short and we’re not working on maximizing revenue, we’re working on maximizing engagement and impact.

The details, if you want them
Where the money goes
Venue, AV and food, sponsored seats for people who otherwise might not be able to join, the memo and the follow-up, collective marketing for partner events across both cities, and a small amount of staff time. Anything above target goes to more sponsored seats, and to the work and working groups that carry on afterwards to help grow this effort nationally.
What happens after October 8
We publish a short memo within two weeks and send it to everyone who was in the room. Working groups that want to continue get convened. Projects coming out of the day can apply to join the Democracy Accelerator, which is free to join and takes no equity. Work on the First Principles and the Democracy Index continues alongside it, to put them into practice and expand their impact.
In-kind and media partnership
Support for venues, technical/SaaS, catering, AV and livestream, printing, facilitation, and design are all very much appreciated, and valued according to the same levels above. Media partners are also much appreciated, and treated likewise.
Smaller amounts, and giving without sponsoring
All donations and support are much appreciated, and can be made directly on the Donate page. It goes to the same budget, and is 100% 510c3 tax deductible. If you would rather your gift go to one specific initiative or activity, please let us know.
